What happened to them?

I’ve been an Atreyu fan since the beginning so I’ll give an actual review instead of just saying this album is garbage.. which it is.
This album was definitely aimed at an audience that only listens to radio metal. Not the ones who actually have a decent taste in music. So if you like Asking Alexandria, I Prevail, or Bring me the Horizon you’ll love this dribble. They sold out and watered down their sound to make a pop album.
Why is this album their worst album they’ve ever released? They did a rap metal song. It was seriously embarrassing to listen to. Everyone song on this album is just bland. I don’t even know how else to describe it. Atreyu is known for their awesome guitar work and it does not show in this album whatsoever. No guitar solos at all. Every song is just downright boring, repetitive, and forgettable. It just feels lazy. I don’t mind or care that it’s not as “heavy” as previous albums. Brandon and Alex are both amazing vocalists.
I get bands need to evolve. Nothing wrong with that. They just missed the mark with this one. I wasted $10 because I won’t give this another listen and I don’t know if I’ll give them a shot in the future after this. Definitely won’t preorder it. RIP Atreyu. You had a good run.
This is cringemania. Brandon and Alex are like two sides of a coin: you can't have one without the other. Brandon's voice is the usual but no Alex is the biggest reason this album deserves to be thrown in the garbage. It's like Alex went to the bathroom and they started recording without him. If their next one is bad, then they should have just come back for just Long Live and then split up, like how Black Sabbath did one more album for an official farewell tour. I'm not sure if this could be any worse than this. No clue what could have caused them to think it was a good idea to bench Alex. Lead Sails and Congregation are miles better than this.
By Omg this thing is stupid
I really enjoyed their new album. Too bad for those who don’t appreciate the hard work that was put into each song. The “super hero” and “terrified” songs are my favorite on this album.
I grew up listening to Atreyu. This isn't the same sound that most of us will remember, and that's ok. This is a different, more mature sound from a band that has already given us so much, and although I wouldn't have minded a heavier album, In Our Wake certainly delivers. I love what Atreyu has brought to the table this time around, like their listeners, the band has grown up too, and the growth and progress they have made deserves much respect and praise. I listened to "In Our Wake" originally, and I was drawn to the rest of the album soonafter, loving every song that I heard. There isn't a bad song on the tracklist, and the ten dollar price tag is well worth the money, which is exactly why you're going to want to add this album to your collection. This is a great work from a great band, embrace the change and enjoy the music.
Screw all these haters that miss the old Atreyu. I can’t find one song on this album that isn’t good. I love there old stuff but every band has to innovate and change there style to grow. Love it!!!

This is my first time listening to atreyu so this isn’t from a hardcore fan perspective so this will probably be a fresh take on the album personally I been listening to this a lot lately when I’m working out or gaming its pretty hyped not hardcore metal however like I was expecting it’s more mainstream radio friendly causal rock with a few exceptions but after listening to it for a few weeks I’ve noticed this album has a pretty repetitive formula for how they handle the chores and how they handle the more aggressive songs I’m personally of the opinion that most rock or motivational music have pretty generic lyrics and with this being both of those things that mean it’s very generic when it comes to writing there are a few tracks that honestly sound the exact same with the exception that the lyrics are different but they use the same formula and patterns as a previous song that being said it wasn’t a bad record I just felt it was repetitive with a few exceptions here and there
I see a lot of crybabies rating
